camanhunttruckThe two Los Angeles women injured in the hunt for Christopher Dorner receive $2.1M each in a settlement.

Margie Carranza, 47, and her mother, Emma Hernandez, 71 were both shot when police officers mistook their pickup truck for the vehicle that they thought Dorner was in.

The settlement was remarkably speedy compared with other LAPD civil lawsuits,  which have taken years to be resolved. City Atty. Carmen Trutanich was blunt  Tuesday in saying the city wanted to get the case, which has been a sore spot  for the Police Department, behind it as quickly as possible.  Source
