Singer Toni Braxton is recovering at home after being hospitalized from what she called ‘health issues’ over the weekend described in her tweets.
Hey guys, I’m in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & Blood clots, I will be home soon…Thanks for all the love&support! Xoxo (@tonibraxton)
The 45-year-old singer revealed two years ago she has Lupus, a potentially deadly autoimmune disease. She also suffers from a narrowing of the blood vessels in her heart. She was released Sunday.
Feeling a little better today, my nurse just left, just happy to be home! (@tonibraxton)
We wish her a speedy recovery.
Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs inside the body). Chronic means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years. In lupus, something goes wrong with your immune system, which is the part of the body that fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs (“foreign invaders,” like the flu). Read more at lupus.org.
