Friday morning, disgruntled apparel designer, Jeffrey Johnson, 58 shot and killed his former co-worker, Steven Ercolino, 41 on the busy streets in Manhattan. During the chaos that followed, police unloaded 16 rounds of fire in a gun battle with Johnson killing him.
Apparently, the 9 people who were wounded in the gun battle were shot by police. Three suffered direct gunshot wounds and six were hit by fragments of the bullets.
It’s a miracle no one else died. At the same time, the tragedy could have been worse if the police did not shoot the gunman. At any rate, I am waiting for the lawsuits to be filed this week by the victims.
