US Rep Jesse Jackson Jr.  has been on medical leave from Congress for the past two weeks, according to the Democratic congressman’s office.  They cited exhaustion as his medical condition.

“On Sunday June 10th, Congressman Jesse L. Jackson Jr. went on a medical leave of absence and is being treated for exhaustion. He asks that you respect his family’s privacy. His offices remain open to serve residents of the Second District.” — June 25 statement by Jackson’s press office

Jackson has been under scrutiny as one of his supporters Raghu Nayak was recently arrested for fraud and tax charges.   Jackson’s staffers refuse to address his whereabouts, citing privacy issues.
