We  celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on the third Monday of every January.   This year the King Holiday is on Monday January 16.

Born at noon on Tuesday, January 15, 1929 at the family home in Atlanta, Martin Luther King, Jr. was the first son and second child born to the Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King.

He fought a good fight for justice and freedom for everyone.

At 39, he was assassinated, but he left a legacy of hope and inspiration that continues today.

There are far too many accomplishments to list for Dr. King in a single blog post.  I encourage you to visit the King Center or even other sources via a google search  for further information.  I hope you use this day as a day of service in remembrance of the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
