In Detroit Michigan four women have been found dead in the trunk of burning vehicles.   Three of the four were linked to a dating website similar to Craigslist.  Police issued a public alert to warn women against setting up meetings over the internet. They suggest that the woman may have been using the site as escorts.

“We felt it’s imperative to alert the public that deciding to meet unknown persons via the internet can be extremely dangerous,” Detroit police chief Ralph Godbee said. “We implore people to be careful, let someone know where they’re going, who they’re with. If you’re arranging something, do it in a public place.”

Cousins,  Demesha Hunt, 24, and Renisha Landers, 23 seen above,  were both found dead December 19th in a burning car near a vacant building.  Their mothers insist that they weren’t escorts.

Everyone should be careful when meeting strangers online.  The website in question is backpage (dot) com.
