Watch Casey J sing her hit single ‘Fill Me Up’ on Atlanta Live. This video was added in 2014. However, the ministry in this song is timeless.
Over the course of a few months, a laid-back elementary school teacher named Casey J has graduated from the classroom to the Top Ten of three different Billboard Magazine sales or airplay charts with her powerful debut radio single “Fill Me Up” (Marquis Boone/Tyscot Records). The uplifting praise and worship anthem anchors the 28-year old vocalist’s forthcoming CD “The Truth” (Marquis Boone Enterprises/Tyscot Records) that hits stores and online platforms everywhere on April 21, 2015. “The Purge-Anarchy” is one movie that I can wait to see. I am already scared from watching the trailer.(above). I remember that the original, “The Purge” had me shaking in my chair as I watched.
Well, I couldn’t find an official synopsis that I liked so here’s mine:
A couple gets stranded as the Purge, one night a year when all crime is legal, begins. The couple becomes trapped as chaos ensues. Will they find a safe place to hide? <– That’s not all but you probably can remember the plot from the 2013 1st movie. All I know is that I am going to see it when it opens July 18th. And if you need better explanation, click play above. Ha.
Maleficent crushed the box office this past weekend. Take a look at the trailer to see if you want to contribute to it’s success.
A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal-an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom-and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well. Yahoo
News over the weekend that I am sure Arsenio Hall didn’t want to hear–his late night comeback show, The Arsenio Hall Show was canceled by CBS. Boo. I was rooting for Hall as I was a fan of his show in the 90s.
“Unfortunately, The Arsenio Hall Show will not return for a second season; while there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue,” CBSTVD said in a statement Friday. “Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we’d like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show. We’d also like to thank Tribune and all our station group partners for their support of the show.”
I am sure this comes as a surprise to Hall considering it was announced it February that the show had been renewed for a 2nd season. Although, I haven’t watched as much as I used to I know that I am surprised. However, Arsenio Hall is super talented and will land another gig I am sure.

Award winning author, poet and civil rights activist Dr. Maya Angelou passed away today. Who she was is best explained in her own words:
“Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
That’s me.” — from “Phenomenal Woman,” first published in 1978
May her sweet soul rest in peace knowing the impact she has had on the world. Read more about the life and times of Dr Angelou here.

Drugs are bad m’kay!
A 36 year old Dallas mother, Sonja Gardner high on PCP allegedly tried to drown her two young daughters, ages 4 and 6 last Thursday. The gotcha is not that she was on PCP. Gardner admitted that they wouldn’t stop asking for snacks. Isn’t this what 4 and 6 year olds do?
According to cbsnews, Gardner’s 18 year old son managed to rescue the girls.
Gardner’s 18-year-old son managed to rescue his siblings, CBS DFW reports. Neighbors said they heard the girls screaming inside the Dallas home before seeing the 18-year-old run out of the residence with a soaking wet 4-year-old. He then reportedly ran back into the house to get his 6-year-old sister.
The station reports the son kicked down the locked bathroom door and yelled at his mother to release the girl. When she refused, he allegedly fired a gun into the ceiling. The son – who has a probation violation – then reportedly fled the scene after giving custody of the children to an aunt.
The girls are safely tucked at a foster home and are ok.
